What Constitutes A Smoothie?

More people today are discovering the healthy benefits of drinking a delicious, refreshing smoothie for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can use either fresh or frozen strawberries. If you don't like bananas, you can sub 1 cup frozen pineapple. Soft fruits like banana and strawberry are most commonly used and widely preferred. To make sure that the tougher dry ingredients are completely broken down it's important to add them to the blender in a particular order.

Do not add sugar - the smoothie is sweet enough. Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. In a blender, mix orange juice, plain yogurt, washed and stemmed blueberries, and a dash of honey to taste. To make this strawberry banana smoothie thicker, try using a frozen banana.

And if your blender is not of the powerful kind, simply omit the ice cubes and go for the frozen banana option (instead of frozen strawberries). I prefer to use frozen fruit when making smoothie recipes because I think it helps make the consistency thicker and creamier.

Combine the sliced banana, strawberries, yogurt, and milk in a blender and process until blended. I also have a magic bullet blender (I've used mine about a million times) that's perfect for smoothies, blending spices and I even use it to make fresh bread crumbs.

First of all, it's a smoothie with bananas and strawberries so it already has a lot going for it. And it's a McDonald's meal you don't have to feel guilty about. In a blender, combine the peaches, yogurt, brown simply smoothies sugar and cinnamon. Bananas are rich in fiber, antioxidants and nutrients, making them perfect for a smoothie.
